R. Stahl Parts & Automation Components

R. Stahl was founded on August 1, 1876 in Stuttgart, Germany, by Rafael Stahl, initially producing circular knitting machines and textile equipment before moving into lift and crane manufacturing. From 1921 the company moved into explosion protection for electrical equipment, after material handling systems at major German chemical companies required protection to this standard, and by 1949 R. Stahl had become market leader in explosion-protected electrical equipment. The company ceased its historic lift-making business by 1970 to focus entirely on explosion protection, and today remains a family-run business and global leader in the field, supplying hazardous-area electrical equipment to the petrochemical, chemical, pharmaceutical, oil & gas, and marine industries.
