Potter & Brumfield Parts & Automation Components
Potter & Brumfield was founded in 1932 in Princeton, Indiana, USA, by Elbert E. Potter and Richard M. Brumfield, the two men whose surnames the company still carries today. The company grew into a major manufacturer of electrical relays, later becoming a subsidiary of AMF International with a British operation established at factories in Oxford and Skelmersdale, before part of its relay production moved to Whitstable, Kent, in 1973. Potter & Brumfield relays passed through ownership by Tyco International before the brand became part of TE Connectivity, and its KUP, KRP and KHAU relay series remain widely used in industrial control panels for general-purpose load switching applications more than 90 years after the company's founding.
