Leadshine Technology was founded in 1997 in Shenzhen, China, by Dr. Warren Li, an MIT PhD graduate and former US professor, with the goal of helping transition Chinese manufacturing toward advanced motion control systems. The company completed an IPO on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange (002979.SZ) in 2010, and has grown into one of the largest motion control companies in the world, operating four manufacturing facilities, employing more than 1,000 people, and serving over 10,000 OEM clients across 60+ countries. Leadshine designs and manufactures stepper motors and drives, closed-loop "easy servo" systems, AC servo motors and drives, and motion controllers used across CNC machinery, robotics, packaging, semiconductor and lab automation applications.
