JUMO was established in 1948 in Fulda, in what was then the American-occupied zone of Western Germany, starting out as a glass thermometer factory. The company grew into a worldwide trademark for measurement, control and automation technology, expanding to the United States in 1984 with JUMO Process Control Inc., initially based in New York City before relocating to the Philadelphia area and later Canastota, New York. Today JUMO is recognised as a global market leader in the industrial temperature probe sector, manufacturing temperature and pressure sensors, process controllers, recorders, thermostats, transmitters and complete measurement chains from sensor to cloud, serving customers across six continents from its Fulda, Germany headquarters.
