Fagor Automation is a cooperative belonging to the Mondragón Corporation, the world's largest workers' co-operative, headquartered in the Basque Country of Spain. With more than 40 years of history, Fagor Automation designs and manufactures CNC systems, servo drives, motors and encoders for machine tool and industrial automation applications, operating an extensive commercial and technical network spanning more than 50 countries with 30 owned subsidiaries and 40+ distributors. The company develops its own software, hardware, electronics, optics and mechanics in-house — a strategy that has yielded more than 30 patents — with product lines including the Optima and Quercus CNC systems and the Series 3 family of linear and angular position encoders.
