Who is Endress+Hauser?
Endress+Hauser was founded on 1 February 1953 as L. Hauser KG in Lörrach, Germany, by Swiss engineer Georg H. Endress and German banker Ludwig Hauser, starting with just 2,000 Deutsche Marks of capital and a single room in Hauser's apartment as their first "operating facility." The company initially sold level measurement instruments made by British firm Fielden Electronics before Endress began developing his own devices, filing his first patent in 1955 and adopting the Endress+Hauser name in 1957.
